Another card challenge

I've frequented the PageMaps website for more than a year, long before I started haunting the blogs on line. When I saw that the first 2008 challenge at Caardvarks was a page map card drawn specially for them, I knew that I had to give this one a try.

The scan isn't too great, because the strip of cardstock on the left is a silver metallic cardstock. But hopefully you get the idea.

Materials used: white cardstock: Georgia Pacific; black and silver metallic: source unknown; Ranger Distress Ink embossing ink; Ranger silver embossing powder; stamps: Hero Arts (Take Time...), Inkadinkadoo (clock); Krylon silver leafing pen; black thread: Coats & Clark.

What a great card ... it would work for almost any recipient ... love the contrast of the black stitching and the silver embossing on black ... very nice.

if you have been tempted by paper adventure...i so, SO, soooooo recommend giving it a try!!! you don't have to *POST* what you do if you are shy, (to be honest...the "sharing" part is slightly freaking ME out!) but it's just such a different realm of thinking/writing/making than what i would normally do--already i feel like i have gotten somewhere that i would NOT have found on my own!

anyway, not to be pushy b/c only YOU know *you*...but i just thought i'd put my two cents in! :)

xo-happy monday--lauren
